Artist Statement

I aim to explore the complexity of the human condition. How different variations of nature and nurture have created the individuals we become, while also recognizing the impact the world has on us and vice versa.

In my work, I grapple with how to represent the multifaceted nature of humanity. In my research, I began by exploring micro-expressions and reconstructing and deconstructing the figure. My practice has since evolved into questioning how environment, memory, and culture play a role in our development.

My medium is predominantly acrylic and oil paint, however I started experimenting with digital media.
